Hello. I right-click on an .iso file, and select "Burn with Disc Copier", and the program doesn't even start. It just crashes with a "We're sorry" dialog. I just purchased the software from Costco, and am quite upset that it can't even write an image to disc. I would take it back to the store, but "no refunds on sofware purchases." :)

EDIT: The exact error is "Roxio Disc Copier has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvience. If you were in the middle of something, the information you were workin on might be lost. For more information about this error, click here."

If I "click here" I get technical information like "AppName: disccopier8" and such.

Have you tried to open Disc Copier via the Roxio Home icon on your desktop or via Start/All Programs?

Yes, the Disc Copier shortcut in the start menu displays the same error. :)
I am going for an uninstall + reinstall to see if that helps, but I just barely installed the application this morning so I don't really see a fix.

Before you uninstall and reinstall, try a Repair via the Add/Remove Programs. Click on the Change button to do it, not the Uninstall button.

I have similar problems - crash during burns and at the begining of burns

hating that I spent $50 on it at the moment

doing the repair/ uninstall-reinstall stuff now.

aiight the change tried to reinstall some stuff and those items came back with errors that it couldn't load a specified file...

trying to burn now.

note: was thinking that the problem was insufficient memory - I had another program operating at the same time as roxio the first time... closed it to no avail - also have 1 gig memory

yep now it burns... but the disk doesn't show up in the drive after the burn - nor does it work in dvd player.

next time I think about buying something like this someone just tell me to burn a $50 bill... it'll have the same effect without the headache
