Where Do I Start ? Slideshow assistant

I am new to this site. Have just downloaded PhotoSuite8, I have questions re Slideshow Assistant but in which part do I place them please.

I get all photos assembled in step 1 add audio track, Step 2 choose transition effect, then step 3 click burn to disc then get error message, "Windows has detected a serious error and needs to close". the computer re-boots itself. I have tried numerous occasions and it's always the same. I only purchased PhotoSuite 8 for the slideshow part and haven't as yet got anything for my money.
