Is there any way to remove this feature? Bottom line I don't want it. I tried uninstalling and then re-installing, then choosing 'modify' and chose NOT TO install both Media Manager and Media Import. But it is still there!

All you can do is to disable it by using msconfig or the admin tools in Control Panel. It can't be uninstalled but you can stop it from loading up at boot
