I can see a video picture and hear the sound.
Status: No Signal........
I have tried everything and now I have a new computer, I still have the same thing. No Signal.
I see the video in the box, I hear the sound.
The roxio video capture usb came with my roxio creator 2009 special edition. Oh yes it did.
Cosco is selling it with the bonus usb card.  smile.gif
Ok it’s been over a month now and I still have not had any luck.
How much time should one person spend trying to get something to work?  dry.gif
Roxio with bonus usb video card. $79.99  rolleyes.gif
Over 30 days working on my old computer, trying to get this thing to work.
Think my old computer is crap, so I buy a brand new computer.
$1559.46
For a total of $1639.45 BUCKS. blink.gif
I think it’s time to give up.
Anyone want a FREE roxio creator 2009 special edition with the bonus roxio video capture usb.
Because I just gave up……..sad.gif

That doesn't make any sense.  If you see video and have sound, how can there be a no signal status?

What application are you using when you see the video and hear sound?

I can see the video picture. smile.gif

Status: No Signal. angry.gif

And I have a new problem... mad.gif

I found that my AOL software in now infected with a ding every time I click on my email messages.
This did not happen until I installed roxio 2009.
I have a new computer now. Once I install the roxio the dam ding started.
I was having that problem with my old computer and thought it was the computer.
I was so happy that the new computer did not ding late at night when clicking on my AOL email. I installed the roxio 5 days after i started using my new computer. DING DING DING IS DRIVING ME CRAZY.
Ok, I uninstalled the roxio 2009 and the dam DING is still in now.
How in the F#*k do I get rid of that. This is a new computer.
I am thinking roxio screwed up my $1500.00 new computer……….
What do you think of that.

That doesn't make any sense.  If you see video and have sound, how can there be a no signal status?

What application are you using when you see the video and hear sound?

Here is more information.
I can Enhance Picture. That works good. Set the video level and stuff.
I set the capture Setting to all the different level. DV, DVD-HQ, DVD-SP, DVD-LP, VCD.
I can Set Capture Length, 00:00:5 to 99:99:99 none makes any difrence. weather it's on or off.
The Input : set to composit Video. and I see a good video and good sound.
Under Options I have tried all the NTSC_* and Pal_* settings as well.
Under the same Options window the device is: Line (USB 2861 Device)
I can not Capture Now.
I have change the "Save to:" as well. and Rename files. with no diffrence.
on the left side of the screen I see the Recently Inported box. its empty with a message in the middle that says "There are no items to show in this view.
Its just not working with the new computer.
Its the same as the old windows vista computer I took out of line.

I have tried different setting in the Options menu. Well, all of them so far with on luck. I was thinking that SECAM_? should mean security camera. in the Options menu. I have lot's of camers some old some new. all with the same thing (Status: No Signal ) unsure.gif

If everything else works except that one camera??? I does not look like a software issue.

What does the manufacture have to say about it.

SECAM is actually "Sequentiel couleur a memoire" (Sequential colour with Memory) and is the French colour TV system - not a thing to do with security laugh.gif

Failure to capture - how have you connected the camera to the PC?

The suite isn't designed for security cameras - and as I've already said SECAM has absolutely NOTHING to do with security.

I repeat - HOW are the cameras connected; HOW are you capturing the input?

Does Windows see them? If so you may have to capture from Windows and then edit the files in Videowave
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

Try capturing  a short segment with Windows Movie Maker and import that to Videowave - at least that will let us know where to start looking

It's possible the capture device may need two signals (audio and video). I do know that it won't capture audio on its own and it's possible the same applies to video on its own (with no audio)

Sounds more like a driver problem.  I would try uninstalling the Roxio USB device driver , reboot and then reinstall it.

Yes I tried that too. uninstall and reinstall. I have tried roxio 2009 on 2 computers so far. it’s strange thing that only the B&W security cams will not show a signal in the status.
The TV tuner is working. I can record video. VCR is working. B&W security cams will not work. I can record anything off my TV tuner. But my security cams I get “Status No Signal”. I really would like to get my security cameras to work..............
This is nuts.....
I found that a strange thing happens when I install roxio on the new computer. I use AOL 9.1 software. After installing the roxio software on the new computer. When I read my mail in the AOL 9.1 program I am getting a strange Ding. I uninstalled roxio and the strange Ding or error ding stayed. So now I have to change my sounds and delete my windows ding. I don’t think roxio 2009 was ready to be released for Vista. Ok I have one more computer with AOL 9.1, I am not getting a Error Ding. I am going to install roxio 2009 in that computer. If I start getting that annoying error ding when I click on my mail I will be pissed off to no end. And I think roxio should pay me for the time to uninstall the OS, format my hard drives just to get rid of the Stupid ding in my AOL mail. And that’s 3 computers I will have to reinstall the OS in………. The only way to prove it's coming from roxio 2009 is to install it in the 3rd computer............. And thats just what I am going to do..........

I asked earlier and you haven't replied to this point

Does Movie Maker capture the video from the security cameras?

That is something that needs to be found out before diving down on one app - basically, does Vista allow it in and how does it do it
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

I did not know that movie maker can capture the video from the roxio vedio capture usb.
I look for it and don't seam to know how it find it in windows movie maker.
I have never used the windows movie maker. I dont see how to capture the USB 2861 Device in windows movie maker.
