I previously utilized media center to record video, then imported to mydvd 6.1.1 and made dvd files, most of which I burned to dvd

when I tried to save these files as image files, I was prompted to upgrade in order to do so.  as a result I now have installed crator 2009 that has mydvd 10.

at this time I was hoping to continue editing my old dvd files and/or save them as disc image but I cannot get new version to recognize these old files

any ideas as to how I can do this?  it seems odd to me that updated version cannot read old files

I just hope I don't have to reedit original videos

Unfortunately, the old project files are not compatible with Creator 2009. If the old files are in avideo format such as mpeg2, wmv or avi then you should be able to use them in C2009'

BTW, Creator 2009 does not have myDVD 10 but Roxio myDVD. myDVD 10 goes with EMC 10.

I don't know why you were promted to upgrade when saving image files in myDVD 6, I am sure it was not necessary if everything was working.

thanks for the info.  I may have found indirect way to access files as I just discovered I could save my old dvd file as a dvd folder and creator 2009 video wave ws able to recognize the video ts file.

I am somewhat confused by your statement re my dvd 10 as the ad I read about creator 2009 says it includes my dvd 10 premier and this is the ad I am sent to after the prompt to upgrade
