I am not sure where to put this, I didnt see a forum for the encoder pack, please let me know if I am in the wrong place.

I purchased this to play DVDs on windows media player 11 on Vista business, downloaded and installed with no errors, but dvds wont play(no error message, just nothing happens). I would appreciate any help I could get.

I tried the support site, (of course there is no email) when I try and place a help ticket I get the following: Severe error, "Procedure 'spU_InsertTicketWSS' expects parameter '@User_Id', which was not supplied." In case any Roxio people are on here who might be interested, fixing it would help some of my Extreme frustration with your company/product right now.

First, this is a users forum, not Roxio tech support.  The folks here are users of the software, just like you.

Once in awhile, a Roxio rep will drop in, but don't hold your breath waiting.

Second, what Roxio software are you using?

Life is good!

I believe that this is the software that the OP has purchased. Although Roxio Labs has a different decoder pack. You may want to look here to see if someone has a similar issue.

What kind of DVDs are you trying to play?

Sales says:
"Enables playback of DVD, MPEG-2 and 5.1-channel Dolby Digital files in Windows Media Player
Supports a variety of VGA cards "

What video card/chip do you have? Have you looked to see if there is an update your video card/chip or DirectX from Microsoft?

Here are some answers to your question from Microsoft.

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
