I just installed the updated from Roxio. The pan and zoom window still does not work. I have a picture in the first window, but not in the finish window or the the preview window. Does anyone know of a fix for the problem.

I have EMC 7 installed and just love videowave 7.0 and have used it a lot. I upgraded so I could have more options to creating my DVD's. I would really like to solve this issue so I can start using this program.

Okay, this is strange. I just created a 2 picture slideshow and then chose to edit it in videowave8. Pan and zoom editor is now showing all the screens (start, finish, and preview). If I start a new project and add photos pan and zoom still works.

If I close everything (vw8 and slideshow) and then open vw8 and add photos then open up the pan and zoom window it only shows the start and finished pics. I have tried this twice now and had duplicate results.

Mike, I'm not sure this will help in your situation but please upgrade the drivers for your video card. Most "visual" problems are caused by slightly outdated drivers or marginally acceptable video cards. EMC 8 does require more from the video card; usually a updated driver will solve the issue.
PC Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Velocity Micro ProMagix ©HD 60; evga x58 motherboard, Intel i7 @2.93, 6G RAM, EVGA Nvidia 560TI superclocked video card, SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme audio card, Buffalo external blu-ray burner; Creator 2011.

Laptop - Windows 7 Home
Dell XPS 1645, Intel I7 1,6G with overdrive ,4G RAM, 1 GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730, Sound Blaster X-Fi MB Panzer, 500G hard drive.

NVIDA 6800 GTO and the driver was updated with the lastest before I installed the patch.

The latest drivers were released Dec 21 2005 and I have no problems with my Geforce 6200. Make sure you have the latest DirectX 9c, too.

I have the same problem - the Finish and Preview panels of the pan and zoom editor are blank, no matter which setting I choose. I have a brand new top-of-the-range Dell, with DirectX 9.0c and a GeForce 7800 GTX 256MB graphics card. Every other bit of software I use displays pictures and video correctly. I've just tried this on an old machine with an old graphics card, and that one works! So what's the problem with my new hardware?

I have a Dell XPS with:
NVIDIA 6800 driver version 81.98.
2 gigs of Ram
GenuineIntel Family 15 Model 4 3.4 GHz Stepping 1
1 Terabyte of hard disk space

This should be enough resources to handle the program. I use version 7 still and I like it very much. I have created some great videos with it. I bought version 8 because of the ability to burn DVD's without menu and better menu controls when I want to use them.

Currently if any asks I recommend not buying version 8 (which is a shame) and to buy version 7 if they can find it. I am looking forward to the day you fix all the bugs and I can start using version 8.
