I use Windows Vista, Firefox 3.0.4, and LogMeIn.  LogMeIn is used to access remote computers.  LogMeIn worked fine on both Firefox and IE browsers until I installed Roxio 2009 Ultimate.  Now, both the Firefox and IE browsers crash when I try to access a remote computer using LogMeIn.  Firefox uses the Java runtime with LogMeIn and IE uses ActiveX.  The weird thing is that Safari still works.

To verify that Roxio was the cause, I un-installed Roxio 2009, and the problem went away.

This problem is limited to Windows Vista and Roxio 2009.  I have tried it on Windows XP, Firefox 3.0.4, LogMeIn, and Roxio 2009 - and all works fine.  I also previously ran Roxio 10 on Vista, and LogMeIn worked fine.

Any idea what Roxio 2009, under Vista, is doing to cause these problems?

No idea what it might be doing to cause the problems, but what about reinstalling LogMeIn after installing Creator '09, to see if it can fix itself?  Or uninstall both Creator 2009, and LogMeIn, then install Creator 2009 first, then LogMeIn?

Only a wild guess at this point.

I guess Roxio does not care about fixing this issue.  It is a problem with Roxio Creator 2009.  As soon as Roxio Creator 2009 is installed, it breaks LogMeIn on Firefox.  I've tried installing / un-installing / re-installing a dozen different ways, and the problem only occurs when Roxio Creator 2009 is installed.

I have had this problem on Vista, Vista SP 1, Vista SP 2, Windows 7 Beta, Windows 7 RC, Firefox 3.0.4 - Firefox 3.0.10, LogMeIn, and Roxio Creator 2009 w/SP1, SP2, SP3, and SP4.

Since Roxio doesn't care about providing a solution, I found one myself . . . I dropped Roxio and began using another product that 1) does not cause problems with other apps, and 2) takes responsibility and provides a fix when they do cause problems.

So long Roxio.  I get the feeling that you have become a company that has increased your reliance on Indian / Pakistan coders, because your code sucks!

This is a user forum. In the last six months since you posted here, did you call the Roxio technical support regarding your problem?

I think that might be a bit too logical for the poster. sad.gif

I have Roxio 2010 and Windows 7 32-bit SP1.  After installing Roxio 2010 my LogMeIn123.com (LogMeIn Rescue) crashes in IE8, Mozzila and Safari.  Uninstalling Roxio does not fix the problem.  Using Windows 7 only (no SP1) doesn't fix the problem.  Using IE9 still the same.  Roxio kills logmein and nobody has a clue why.  I contacted Roxio and LogMeIn and they have no solution.

This is one of those issues that has very few people who use "Logmein" or few who have complained. Notice you posted to a 2 year old thread.   Put this in the same folder as Magic Jack which didn't work either.  Sorry.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

To be honest, I have never heard of Logmein123 and had to Google it to find out what it did.

Since I can't verify if we have tested with this program or not, the easiest solution for now is to return your Roxio software to your place of purchase or remove the Roxio software. We have not seen any complaints on this in our tickets, but will recheck.

Thanks,

Jon
