When I try to get my music files into a DVD audio project, nothing happens when I click on "ADD TRACKS".

I have uninstalled then reinstalled this product, Easy Media Creator 8 several times, no luck. I have an AMD ATHLON 3800 DUAL CORE processor with a 250GB HD, & an ATI 256 X8000xl video card & 1Gig of RAM.

Thanks for any help

What you should be getting is a Media Selector window that comes up.If a window doesn't come up are you sure that the upper right part of the window isn't already the media selector. This is coming from Media Manager. You didn't by chance not install it if you did a custom install did you?

I am not getting anything. When I click on add tracks I just get an hour glass, will stay that way for over one hour. When I go to the Task Mgr it shows "Program Not Responding". I have Media manager installed, but I'm not sure about Media Selector. Where do I see Media Selector. Please direct me as to how to get it, I don't see it in the programs list when I expand Roxio.

Sounds like something is just not right.I know you've uninstalled and reinstalled but how bout trying 1 more time. This time do this:Uninstall using the control panel. Then run the Windows Install Cleanup Utility, looking for Roxio or Sonic entries, you can get it from Microsoft. This cleans up leftover windows install routines. Then  once you do that run Roxizap, you can get it here:
http://tools.roxio.c...ols/roxizap.exe

Once you do all that try and reinstall 1 more time and lets see what happens. With any luck it'll work.If not we try something else.By the way you don't by chance have Nero software on your machine also do you?

Thank you for your response. I will follow with all your suggestions & let you know as soon as possible what occurs. No, no Nero on PC. I also got rid of any Sonic programs I had on PC. I always use Control panel/Add/Remove programs to correctly remove programs.

Since I last wrote I again uninstalled/reinstalled program. When I want to burn a CD, I am able to add tracks, but not DVD. Also notice in almost all other options I cannot get a windows explorer or My computer window to pop up (file managers). My mouse cursor turns to an hour glass & will remain that way. When I go to Control + Alternate + Delete (task manager) it always states "program not responding", so I have to "END TASK" to get out of it & close program.

Try this; it worked for many when a program would not open.  Be careful editing your registry.  Follow the instruction exactly.

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

I tried your suggestion, did not work. Remember, I'm not having a problem opening all the options in Roxio Easy Media Creator 8, I'm having problems "ADDING TRACKS" in many of the burning programs it offers. I cannot seem to get either Windows explorer or My Computer open up so I can select songs from my hard drive that I want to "ADD" to project. No luck so far. Any other suggestions?
