I have many photos scanned and either wholely, or partly, edited in PhotoSuite. Problem is that photos edited while using the old CRT monitor now look stretched-out on the new widescreen. The "picture size" displayed shows that the actual photo size remains unchanged. I just don't like seeing my lop-sided family all stretched out! Is there a fix for this either in PhotoSuite, or with my ViewSonic? I've tried cluttzing around in Control Panel/Display with no luck. Would appreciate a shove in the right direction.

Try this

Open the ATI or nVidia control program (if you installed it) and change settings there to "Centered Timings" or "Centered Image" and it'll shrink it, center it, and display it at 1:1 pixel ratio.
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed
