I cannot copy DVDs that I have made on my DVD/CD burner.  I open the Sonic software, follow the instructions as I always have, and nothing happens.  I get the message when I try to shut it down: The program is not responding.  The software I have is Sonic DigitalMedia LE v7.  I read somewhere that Microsoft SP3 "may" be the problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions????

Thanks

Has this ever worked (it kind of reads as tho it did at one time)?

Other than SP3 (XP I'm guessing), have you updated anything else, like Internet Explorer (IE) to v7 or Windows Media Player (WMP) to 11? If so, see this post about rolling those back (both IE 7 & WMP 11 are known to cause problems with the version of the software you noted having).

Larry:  Yes, this software worked like a charm.   I haven't used this software since August/Sept. I will check this out tomorrow and see what happens and let you know how I do.

Many thanks for the help (so far).  I may need more help.

Hi.  I am having the same problem with Sonic Digital Media LE v7. It keeps asking to insert the disc (which I don't have!) Then it says can't find installation package MyDVD.MSI ??  The program should probably be reinstalled - if I only knew where to find it. Anyone know?  Incidentally I have installed those updated programs mentioned above - hate to uninstall because they are necessary for other applications.  So I'm thinking about uninstalling my whole SONIC mess!

Re read post #2 and go the site(s) that has been posted and read the applicable ones (IE 7 & WMP 11)

They do not uninstall IE 7 and WMP 11 they just roll them back 1 version.

Sonic Digital Media LE v7 is a OEM version that probably came pre-installed on your computer (Dell).
