I just finished installing Creator 2009 and everything went fine. I imported video form my Sony HDR SR11 which contained about 70 short clips. When Roxio was downloading them it numbered them numerically starting with zero. All of the clips showed up on the "media import "window but after importing there were two clips that didn't transfer to the "recently imported" window. The video clips play fine when i click on them in the "media import" window. I went to my videos folder where roxio is saving the files and the icon for the clips is there but the size is "0 bytes". Any ideas on why these two clips didn't transfer would be appreciated.

Connect the camcorder. Wait for Windows to recognize it. Open Windows Explorer (my Computer) and open a window to the camcorder. Change to detailed view and see if the file on the camcorder really is 0k. The file could very well be corrupt in the camcorder.

I went into my computer clicked on the video camera and the file appears to be o.k it says it's 181mb but I can't play it in windows since it's a MTS file. I am able to play the files on Roxio it just won't import into the program. If it is a corrupt file is there any way to fix it and why would this have happened. Thanks

I was able to burn the file straight to a DVD using Roxio and it played fine on a PS3 system so i am not sure it could be corrupted.

Then I'm not sure I understand the problem. You don't need Media Import with ANY camcorder that connects via USB although Media Import 'should' work with AVCHD camcorders. Just use Windows Explorer to copy the .MTS files to your local hard drive and use those files in Videowave or MyDVD.I suppose it is possible that Media Import isn't reading the file correctly for transfer OR it was just a glitch when you transferred it the first time.
