In EMC 7.5 Sound Editor, I'd like to record my own lyrics to a popular song with the instrumental version of the song in the background. I have the instrumental version of the song in MP3, which I put into Layer 1, thinking I could then record my voice as Layer 2 while listening to Layer 1--essentially singing along with the music--so words and music would be synchronized. But it seems I must record the audio file separately, and then insert it, fingers crossed that the timing matches--lyrics with notes. Is there a better way anyone knows of? Thanks.
