I have captured about 2 hours of HDV video from my camera/tapes.  I have a BR burner but once I have captured the video.  Afte that, I went to 'Make DVD" and any other choice that I could see made any sense, but BR discs weren't a choice.  I put in a blank, still no-go.  What do I have to do from here to get it to burn??

None of us have a blu-ray player - but is your graphics capable of handling blu-ray?

I thought mine was until I ran the cyberlink utility and found out it wasn't

If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

Crap you've got a lot of posts!  As far as BD  support goes, I'm all green except for some of the "Advanced Playback" options (H.264, etc.).  I've also burned discs using serveral other programs including DVDit Pro HD and more recently Adobe's Premiere.  I found DVDit Pro to be inconsistent and Premiere is such a memory hog that it practically grinds Vista to a halt.

I bought this so that MAYBE it is going to be a consistent buring program that will run properly on Vista.

Now that I've paid for it, I'd love to know how to do it.  I paid for the CD rather than the download in hopes of getting a physical book (like with creator 9)....no dice.

Any advice? POinters?  Tips?

Post count - I ignore it (just means I've been around a long time is all - nothing else) laugh.gif

Did you run the cyberlink advisory tool and what did it say?

Advisory was all green except for 3 of the advanced playback issues:  h.264, mpeg-2, vc-1.  All else was good.

You have to go to 'Make DVD Advanced' to get the options to burn Bluray or just run MyDVD from the start menu.  The first pop up should give you two choices to create a Blury project: with and without a menu.

Thanks Russell!  They don't make it very easy do they?  I chose "New Project" in the file menu and I got the choices.  With Bluray being a 'Premium feature' you'd think they's slap it on the front menu!  Why don't you flex some muscle at Roxio and get that changed!

When you are done intimidating Roxio and since you are from Maryville (I'm from Martin) can you run over to Charter and tell them to turn the Nashville locals back on for me?!  Who wants to watch the Chiefs when the Titans are playing?  If you can't intimidate them, I'm gonna do like everyone else on the block and go satellite!

Anyway, thanks for your help!
