Roxio 8 Problem With Adding Text

I have Roxio 8 and when I try to add text to a slide it adds it to the entire project. There is no option available to me to get it on a single slide. HELP

Add it to the internal track for the slide.

Select storyline, then select the slide to which you want to add the text then select Internal Tracks. Now add the text.
