At some point, either looking for a file to import from my hard drive or adding an intro video My DVD shuts down. It disapears into thin air. Until you try and reopen My DVD. This is where I get the message that it is already open, (I found that VideoWave process is still running in the background. I've tried removing and reinstalling from the cd and it still will not work. Any suggestions?

Am I the only one that is dissaticefied with Roxio Support? $35 for phone support, "that's half of what I paid for the program." At this moment live tech support is OFFLINE. I bet support is offline often.  If I knew how to get my money back, I would, but I'm assuming that will be as hard to find as a tech support person.

Note: I'm a long time user of Roxio and Sonic programs and this is the first time I have used their tech support. It feels like they took my money and ran. Like the common knowledge, if you open a program, you can not return it, the sould have to state "before you buy their product" that if you have any tech problems you will be unable to speak to a live person and you will find online support to be a sick joke. I recieve an email every couple of days to buy or upgrade a Roxio product and will have no choice but to be reminded of this mistake for a long time.

That's all.

The first thing I would suggest is updating your Video and Sound card drivers to the latest version available.

If that does not correct the issue for you, respond back with more information on your computer, including the CPU, amt of memory, Video Card, and sound card.

Thanks for helping me.
I have a dell dimension 9100 that is less than a year old. It has a Pentium 4 3.00GHz processor with 1 gig of ram. The video card is a Radeon X600 256MB HyperMemory. I think the sound card is a SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD.
MyDVD shuts down while I'm adding a AVI file. The Micro Soft "Send the problem screen" pops up and says VideoWave8.exe has encountered a problem and it shuts down MyDVD.

If it does this with all files, your best bet would be to call Tech Support. In all likelihood you will not be charged for TS on a call of this nature. If for some reason they would, you would be given the option before any charge is incurred.

If you go to Tools -> Options, is it on Hardware render or Software render? If it is on Hardware, try to change it to Software and see if the same issue is still there.
