can anyone help me with this one. i created a slideshow and added several audio segments and had the tool adjust the length of the slideshow to match the audio. i then saved it in the slideshow assistant as a videowave file and then proceeded to go to videowave to add text/overlays etc... the problem i am now having is that the audio is not being played even though it is showing up in the 'music' and 'sfx' tracks. i tried burning the project to a dvd (via mydvd) and no magical luck...as expected from the preview, the slideshow video was fine but still no audio...
does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the audio to play or what i may have done wrong along the way??
i have the latest software upgrade and have both a dell demension 4300 and an alienware laptop which both exhibit the same problem.....using the same source videowave file...
thanks ahead of time, m

hey all, i may have figured out my own mistake/problem...even though i do not fully understand why...maybe someone else can help me out with that.
it seems like several cd's that i brought in with the roxia cd import tool (convert CDs) needed to be brought in with anything BUT 256kbs conversion......192kbs worked as did 320kbs.....not sure why it should make a difference though. this is an option you can get to via the 'options' button which is in the 'convert cd' field.
the tip off if you are having this problem is when you are in the timeline mode in videowave, if you do not see any 'audio activity' (for lack of a better term) in the audio file tracks, then this may be the problem. so what i see when i have bummer mp3 is the audio tracks show flat yellow lines rather then the expected yellow spectrum lines corresponding to the tones of the music.
hopefully this will help somebody else out and save them a few hours of trying this and that to get their audio files in correctly.
if anyone has an explanation why 256Kbs conversion does does always works, please let me know.
thanks, m
