I have a full retail version of Creator 9 and am trying to archive several AVI clips onto a DVD.
All the individual files appear in Windows Explorer and play normally, however only one file - the first one in the directory - shows in the Creator Classic view when I try to add the avi files to the data project.
Ideas?

Possibly missing codecs.
While EMC9 has some codecs, you need to get the others yourself (they're normally free but you need to download and install them from various sites)
To check what codecs may be needed for each avi, use this free utility

It is probable (a guess here) that you actually need Xvid - available from
http://www.xvid.org/

If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

That's not the usual behavior for the full version. Is this the view you're talking about?

That shot was made a couple of minutes ago in XP-SP2, and as you can see all those AVIs made with the named codecs are visible in the Select Source pane of Creator Classic 9. They are also all selectable and can happily be dragged down into the data disc project [where they are alpha-sorted]. You confirm it is a Creator Classic Data Disc Project??
It's not a matter of file attributes because I made one System, one Hidden, and one Readonly and they were all still perfectly visible and selectable [except Creator Classic popped up a warning box to tell me I had it set to exclude system files, and I should unset that if I wanted to include that AVI.]
Apart from the adjustable setting to exclude hidden or system files, Creator Classic should see all AVI files just the same as any other type of file. Codecs are irrelevant because you're not decoding the video when you're storing the files on a data disc.
Could this be an Operating System interaction? What OS and service pack level are you using please?
What actual version number of Creator Classic do you have please? [go to Help > About this software to see]
This is puzzling.
