As long as it's some kind of dvd to another dvd it should work.
What won't work is cd to dvd and vice versa.Has to be the same kind of media.

Hi Terry, I can copy a dvd to another dvd but can not copy from a dvd+ rw to a blank dvd, it hangs up my machine every time, forcing me to restart by pushing in the start button on my computer.

I just did this same thing successfully -- a dvd rw to a blank dvd-r.  What brand media are you using?

Yeah,it should work.
It's either a problem with the R/W or the blanks.
Like Tom says trying a different brand of media may help.

Question, what software version are you running and in what application are you doing the copying? Is it a Retail bought version or one that came pre-installed on the PC?

What is on the ' FUJIFILM DVD+RW ' data, video? Is the disc open or closed?  What application burned the ' FUJIFILM DVD+RW '?

What application are you using, when this works, "I can copy a dvd to another dvd"? What file types are on the source disc your copying?

I don't know how to make those quotes like you do CD but here goes my best try.
#1 Yes it is Roxio 2009
#2 The DVDRW was left open
#3 The application was Roxio's "Plug and Burn"
#4 ok data not video   Got that now
#5 ok "Video copy and convert" video only  Got that now.    I really didn't know that, dummy me
#6 Type of file  AVI
Sorry for being so confusing CD but learning this stuff comes hard for an OLD FART.
I think it might be easier if I captured this to Videowave and start over, edit it, then go to My
DVD for burning.                 Thank to all for the help.

ok CD (or anyone intersted) here goes I connect my Sony digital camcorder to my computer. Then I open Roxio creator 2009 and go to "Plug and Burn" under Import (Capture video from a DV camera directly to a disk) I then follow the 9 easy steps and burn the digital tape to a DVD+RW disk. Then i play it in WMP and it a ok.  Now I go to "Video Copy and Convert"   I choose " DVD video copy.
In the Source drop down arrow I have 2 choices, E:tsst corp -DVD-Romtsh353b
                                                                        F:tsstcorp-DVD+RW ts-h653f
Browse for disk image/dvd-video folder ( 3 choices)
In the Destination box I have   F:tsstcorp-DVD+RW ts-h653f
                                             Disk Image
                                             DVD Video folder
In the source box I have tried both E: DVD- Rom and F:DVD+RW
Any combination of these will, lock up my computer, Roxio not responding or play the DVDRW in WMP
This is where I get confused and don't know what to do. I always ending up having to restart the computer.                  thank you   Howard

Since you have two drives, place the burned video disc into the TSST DVD-ROM drive.  Choose that as Source.
Place a blank in the DVD RW drive.  Should default as Destination.
Click on COPY NOW

If you have a lot of media files on your computer, it may appear it is locked up.  The app has to read ALL devices. Be patient.

Russell I followed your instructions to the letter and showed a little patience, WMP opened and started playing the dvdrw, I closed WMP and a picture from the disk showed up in the source box; I then clicked copy.  I now have a perfect copy. I'm a retired carpenter and I will say you hit the nail right on the head.   thanks all

Glad to help...  Looks like WMP was trying to launch and caused some problems.  Personally, I have autoplay turned off on all my drives. I find it annoying. LOL
