Hi all,
I'm suddenly having a problem on my PM Dual 2.5 with Toast.
When I try to burn a DVD I get an error message saying "Couldn't complete the last command because of a Mac OS error Result Code= -50"
I'm running Toast 6.1.1 and have re-updated it. I have run Disk Utilites to Repair Permissions.
I can burn Cd's fine and this wasn't a problem before I upgraded to 10.4.6.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Usually -50 errors are communication errors:
1) If you have an external drive, make sure it is the only external device connected. If it is USB, connect it directly to the computer, not through the hub. Oh, and try another cable too.
2) Make sure you have the latest firmware for the drive.
3) Try another brand of media.
Well try those for starters, see how that goes.

This is the internal drive that came with the Mac.

1) Try burning a disc image instead of to the DVD (use the command from the file menu rather then hitting the record button).
2) Can you burn CD's?
3) Since it is an apple drive, double check to see if apple has any firmware updates for it.
4) Try burning at a slower speed.

I am experiencing the same problem.
Except:
I'm still on OS 10.3.9
Can burn CD's
Have run Disk Utility to repair permissions.
Any more thoughts??
Thanks!
