I have a similar problem. But, I get NO error messages. After uninstalling and re-installing BUMP, clicking on the program icon brings up the initial splash screen. The little hourglass just sits there forever. This suggests to me that the program is hung up. Roxanne told me to use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. That won't install on my PC. Gives me kooky error message that the NTVDM CPU has received an illegal instruction. The only way to stop the hang up is to use Task Manager to restart the computer. So, is it time to get a new backup program? I wish I would get some message telling me what's wrong but that isn't happening. Any suggestions? BTW, I am NOT online when this happens.

If you can't get a Microsoft utility program to install, there's something very seriously amiss with your Operating System
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed
