I copied "My Documents" using the data module on Friday using Sonic DigitalMedia Deluxe v7. I watched it copy and verify the files, it went though 4 dvds to copy all the data.
I then formatted the drive, reloaded XP and the software and got ready to reload the files, the disk shows up as blank. I looked at the disk on another computer and it shows 0 bytes of data.
Looking at the disk it looks like it was burned, three are complete and 1 is partially full.
This was my wife's laptop so I am in hot water at this time.

I tried looking at some disks that I had burned some months ago and they show the same.

Any help would be great.

Omar,

[1] What program in Sonic DigitalMedia Deluxe v7 did you use to copy these files.
[2] Did the program format or prepare the discs before it wrote the files to them?

I'm thinking that you may have been using Sonic's Drive Letter Access [DLA] program, since this writes a specially formatted disc which needs to have that same program running before the discs can be read.

Download a trial copy of Isobuster from Isobuster.com, and see if it can see your files on your discs. The trial copy should show files it can recover, but you would need the paid program to actually recover them.

I used the "Data Disk" module of Sonic Deluxe v7

No, it did not format the disk, it just started copying data to the disks. Or at least I am not aware that it formatted first.

I tried Isobuster with no success, it says blank disk.
But when I put a truly blank media in the drive, the window pops up asking if I want to burn a cd/dvd.
