I just bought Roxio Creator 2009 today.  I cannot access the tutorials, which I need.
I get an error that Adobe Reader 9.0 cannot open learn.htm.....

My Adobe works fine with all other programs.
Any Help?

The tutorials are not in PDF format but actually should open a new window in your browser. There are even Camtasia PIP screens that display actual clips for reference.

I think that Gracie is referring to the Tutorials, under help, on the Home screen.  She has problems, if she is getting an Adobe error, because the tutorials have nothing to do with Adobe.

I have no trouble opening them.

Hello Gracie,

I just tried the tutorials in my Creator 2009. Learn.htm just opened up my browser [Firefox] and displays nicely. So do all the other tutorials which ate in .htm files.

Perhaps the file association in your Windows for .htm files has been altered to point towards Adobe Reader instead of your browser?

You haven't mentioned what operating system you're using. These instructions are for Vista.
Find an .htm file on your computer, right-click it and select Open with.
A list of programs should appear like this one at the far right.
htm.jpg

Click on "Choose Default Program" and select your preferred browser as the default program to open .htm files.

This should set your browser to open the tutorial and other .htm files.  You may need to do the same with .html files if Adobe Reader has hijacked them too.

A similar method of arranging file associations should be available in XP.

Regards,
Brendon
