I recently downgraded my OS from Vista Home Premium to Xp Home SP3 (my computer was having memory problems). My computer is a Dell Dimension E520. I'm having a lot of problems. Now Windows Media Player cannot find a dvd codec. So I think reinstalling the Sonic CinePlayer Software on my system will solve this? The only thing is the installer needs Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 or later but I installed version 2.0 SP 1 from Windows Update already!!!!111onoeone!

Please someone help me I'm at wits end...thank you

And do you have any Sonic/Roxio Product installed? Yes installing CP should also install Codec required to play DVDs using WMP as well as CP interface.

You might want to provide little more details on any error messages etc rather then just "not installing" to help you further.

Wow you MUST be slow as I stated in my first post that the installer is asking that it needs Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 or later but I have the latest one already installed!

Product Version 3.1.1.0

Is there a way to manually install it? Will it work?

All I can think of is removing any version of .Net and installing 1.1 first. Once CP is installed, you may then try updating to newer .Net
