Getting Error Message Using Vcr Capture Device Has Been Lost

Sometimes the video capture will work and other times I get an error message saying capture device has been lost. Any help would be appreciated.

How is it connected?

What is it connected to?

Sorry about that. I'm using Pinncale Systems Studio 500-USB hooked up to a VCR. Studio 500 USB is hooked into a P4 2.4 512MB of ram PC.
