That is usually a Hardware error...

You need to explain more what your doing. Using what Roxio software, bought or came with the PC, Name and version # of the software? Now in what application are you doing this when you get the error?

What type of disc R or RW?

I'm useing Memorex DVD+R DL.

"Module Name: PX Engine Build: 4.8.29a, 31"   You could try # 5 in my signature, a updated PX Engine Build.

Try and slow the burn down to 2.4 X on the Memorex disc's. I would only use/buy Verbatim +R media. If neither work contact Sony on your Drive, is the PC in warranty?

"Easy Media Creator 10 LJ" is a Sony OEM version, different and usually a cut down version. Most folks here use a Retail version of Roxio software.

I think cdanteek is offline at the moment.

The list of error codes comes from the official MultiMedia Commands Standard, MMC. The latest one I've been able to find is a draft MMC-6 from here.  The error codes are buried in the appendices toward the end of the standard. Browse through the document, and you'll see what we're up against.

Sense:04 is the hardware error group. The Asc and Ascq subgroups narrow the error down and make it specific.
Unfortunately, I can't find Sense:04, Asc:03 defined anywhere in any of the tables in that document, or any of the other tables I have access to.

It's a hardware error, but that's all I can tell from the error you quoted.

P4 @3.20GHz on Albatron PX-865PE Pro II with 2GB DDR-SDRAM, FX5900XT video, Viewsonic monitors,
BENQ DW1640, in XP Pro and Windows 7

I blame it all on Global Warming / Global Cooling / Global Staying the Same  [pick one]
