which AAC codec

Does anyone know if EMC 8 Deluxe version allows encoding to AAC audio format? If yes, what codec does it use? QuickTime's or some else?

EMC 8 Deluxe Suite does have the option to encode to AAC and it is using QuickTime's AAC codec.
