Please take it easy on me. I am new to Roxio and new to this forum.
I installed Roxio 2009 on my work computer (XP) and tried to open it. All ok.

Later (week or 2 later) I clicked on the icon, a small red rectangle appeared for about 5 seconds and disappeared. I checked and make sure the icon went to the exe file. So far so good. Tied to launch several times more, no good.

Went to Windows Explorer and tried to launch from there. Same problem.

Went to Roxio site saw the SP 2 and downloaded it. On launch it said I did not have ROxio 2009 installed. Well I did. My brain is getting confused.

Filled out a trouble ticket. Sent it in waited and shortly I got an email telling me to uninstall and reinstall Roxio.

Went to Start-Control Panel-Uninstall and no Roxio present on the list.
Sent additional info to Roxio on the same trouble ticket Number.

Was told to download a Windows Uninstall utility to remove Roxio.

Installed Windows program, launched it and Roxio does not appear.

How do I uninstall Roxio?

Bought 3 copies for the office, my disc is the only one that is having this problem.

Only 47% of HD in use.

Thanks for all ideas.
Pete

I tried both #1 and #2 and neither worked.
Sorry but I mentioned both of these in my original post.

Try installing the software again, over the top of what is there now. It can't hurt.

Do you have anyone who is pretty good with computers that can come over and help you?

You are probably missing something really simple in the process but this could go on for days laugh.gif

Mr. Hardin
I have followed instructions that have been given to me by Roxio.
It is pretty obvious that Roxio is not in the Window uninstall program.
It is not hard to install msicuu2 and then notice that Roxio is not on the list in that program.
It is a no brainer to reinstall Roxio.

While I am not a geek, I am not too shabby in using my computer.

The lack of useful tips in this forum is astonishing.

Are you saying that when you installed, over the top of what was there, you had nothing showing in Add/Remove Programs?

If that is the case, you have something else going on, because the software didn't install.

BTW, the folks, in this thread, are trying to help you. Kicking them in the teeth, isn't going to help you with your situation.
