First time poster and I know I'm in the wrong thread. Moderator, please put this in the correct place. I searched for all terms I could think of about Easy VHS but could not find an existing topic or thread. I also could find no means to start a new topic.
In any event, I opened a ticket last week describing my problem trying to install this new product, Easy VHS to DVD. So far, I have not had a reply so I thought I would put this to the community here. Anyone else run into the problem of not getting the installation CD to complete its process? I have waited for over 1/2 hour but the CD reading hangs up with the progress bar just over half way completed. When I finally cancel the operation, the roll-back process takes even longer before I ultimately get the dialog box telling me the software has not been installed. No kidding!
I am running XPMCE SP2 fully security-updated.
Just looking for any help at all - or just some sympathy. Thanks.

Try copying the CD to your harddrive and install from there.

Thanks a bunch! That seems to have done the trick. But I knew that - I just didn't think of it this time. Guess I was too busy cussing out the !@#$% CD.
Thanks again.
BTW, should this product have its own thread?

Hopefully Roxio will set up a forum for it, pretty soon. The software is new, so that could be the reason there isn't one.
Life is good!
