I noticed on my .mpg file that the audio and video are out of sync. Can this be fixed in videowave? If so, how?

Depends. Is the audio out of sync an even amount throughout the video or does it start in sync and then slowly go out.

If the later, you cannot fix it. In the future, since it is probably a hardware capture problem, capture in 15 or so minute segments. Make sure nothing else is running on your computer especially your anti-virus, e-mail etc. Capture to a clean and defragged hard drive.

If it is out of sync and even amount throughout. You can use media manager to extract the audio from the video file. Save it as a wav file. Put the original video into Video Wave, MUTE the native audio track. Add a color panel or similar to the start and then add the saved wav file to any other audio track. You can then adjust where the audio starts by sliding it along that audio track.

Note the color panel or other is there just in case the audio is out of sync and you have to slide it so that the audio starts a split second before the video. That is usually not the norm.
