Hi, Pardon me if my question seems a bit basic...I just got a Canon dvd camcorder and it came with myDVD8 software...

How do I convert the DVD to files to Mpegs that I can email or post on host sites??

Thanks in Advanced, Max

We are not ignoring you. The fact is that Canon may have adjusted that program to fit that camera. Because of that, only a few people would have your version and even fewer would want to convert it to a different format.

What program is available to you that allows you to edit that captured video?  It may be a lite version of VideoWave.  That may have the conversion if you can select "render as" or "output as"  Right click on the video after you have added it to the menus and select edit.  A program should open names MyDVD.  Look there for those commands.

If you plan on using that camera a lot, you may want to buy the full EMC 8 suite.
