This was first brought up on Jan 5. Anyone figured it out yet?

Try adding any media to a new production in vw8 and this error message comes up:

The number of panels in the production is 0.

Click on details, you get nothing.

Thing is, the panel is there. You can see the first frame in both storyboard and timeline. But when you play it, you only get sound.

I thought it might be a variation of the Mixer is null error message, but that fix did not work.

Thoughts, anyone?

What type of file are you adding? DV AVI, MPEG 2, MPEG 4, DivX?

List your system specs like CPU. memory. HD space, video card and audio card.

This is the first time that I have seen it mentioned. I have no clue what Jan 5 means. If you refer to something, you should provide the link to the thread.

What kind of media are you talking about? You may need to try a repair on the software to see if that works.
