I have tried to install Roxio Creator 2009 from a dvd on my new Dell Studio computer which runs Vista 32.  It took a very very long time to install, but it does not open when I click the icon.  The word ROXIO comes up on the screen, but that is all.  There was a Dell stripped down version of Roxio on the computer, but I did not remove it since 2009 appeared to load in a different file.  Should I have removed the Dell version?  Do I need to do a clean install?

Basically yes, a clean install is the way to go as there is amost certain to be a conflict with the OEM version
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

Quick test – Can you start any of the applications, other than the Home app, from the Start Menu?

If so, go into Help – Check for Updates and apply the SP3.

If not, follow Daithi's suggestions.

rolleyes.gif Thank you.  I uninstalled both versions and did a clean install and now it works!  It sure would have been nice to have some documentation with a warning to remove the other program though.
