Cd Creator 2009 Problem Installing get error message then install quits

I put CD in, enter serial codes and install starts. Part way through it stops and I get a message: You must install Roxio Easy Media creator 10 before installing the content.
I'm installing Roxio Creator 2009. I installed it on my laptop after we could not install it on my wife's laptop. I had no problems installing it on my laptop. So I know problem is not with CD.
She has an HP pavilion Laptop, with Windows Vista home version. I did an explore on the disk and could not find the Easy media creator 10. Not sure what to do next. Can anyone help?
