Brandon and Daithi:
I am a windows 2000 pro and I've got my backups from 2004. After that, I had a massive stroke which left everything standing still until I was back. Well, I am better now and am trying to start more-or-less again. I have to stay on my windows 2000 pro because I'm an accountant, so I am trying to run Easy Media Creator 7 Basic, which was going good until my stroke.
I have a back-up copy that has been restored but I don't know where to start.I found my Roxie icon on my Hard drive as I:\roxie. The next thing I can find is a lot of files under Easy Media Creator 7, but not an ".exe" to state. what am I not doing? I cannot find anything from the original package of EMC 7 since it has been lost. "Using EMC 9" doesn't run on my computer. I'm stuck! What should I do?

What happened when you tried the suggestion in your
other post? What happens if you simply put the disc in the drive when the drive is set to auto run? What kids of files and folders are you finding? Do you see anything that says "Install" or "Installer"?
How did you get/make that back up disc? Is it a back up of the program or just the files?
Does your Win 2000 have SP4? IE 7 or WMP 11?
You may be able to get a inexpensive copy of EMC 7 or EMC 9 on something like e-bay.
EMC 9 (standard edition) should work with 2000 SP4 if your computer is up to it. Go with the full version and not the OEM version. Do not buy EMC 8.

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
