I need to split scenes and not just cut (trim) ections form the ends of scenes.
Can this be done with EMC9? If so how?

Read through the Tips & Tricks section here, there are a few posts that apply to your question.

BTW, what software do you actually have? You ask if it can be done with EMC9 (yes) but you are posting in VideoWave Movie Creator which is another package .

If you've got Movie Creator, you've got to trim the scenes. It's a pretty basic program.

You can split scenes in EMC 9 ( or Creator 2009) which is the current version. Just make certain that your computer exceeds the specifications for the program. Movie Creator worked with a video card and other hardware that had much lower specifications than the later version.
