After 'Preparing your computer for installing Roxio products' here.... Things I do before installation, in this order. Disable User Account Control (UAC) in Windows Vista, clean all cache, cookies, private data, clear history, delete the temp file contents (start run %temp%), run disc cleanup, empty the recycle bin, run disc defragmenter on the operating system C / installation drive. Reboot the PC, close all unnecessary running programs, disconnect from the internet and turn off / stop antivirus and firewall software. Now I'm ready to install the software.

Place the USB Capture Device directly in a USB 2.0 connector on the PC, preferably a rear port not some kind of extension USB Hub. Make sure it's properly supported and the connected wires aren't pulling the device out, not making a proper connection. The operating system should recognize the USB Device and launch the Found New Hardware Wizard, if not try a different USB connector on the PC. When the Found New Hardware Wizard launches cancel it otherwise the operating system could install generic drivers for the device.

Now put the Easy VHS to DVD Disc in a DVD Drive it will auto run or click start My Computer, right click on the drive with the disc, open / explore the disc, click on setup.exe to start the installation.

If you downloaded the program, place or move it into it's own folder and extract it to that folder (wipzip winrar), then run the setup.exe.

Installation time took 11 minutes, note my system specs in signature...If you have a older slower system just leave it alone it could take twice as long to install.

After installing, I had audio and video in Roxio Media Import, I see video and hear audio. In Digitize Lps and Tapes and Roxio Easy Audio Capture I did not hear audio and the recording level meters didn't move. I updated with the RoxioVHStoDVDSP2 Service Pack and then the recording level meters moved, I still could not hear audio, in Digitize Lps and Tapes and Roxio Easy Audio Capture! I captured in all three and they played back fine with no problem or distorted audio or video picture. Plug and Burn seemed to work fine.

Below is a step by step of the install with pics and four programs using the USB Capture Device. Not complete screen shots of the entire suite.

First pic is after canceling the Found New Hardware Wizard when the USB Device was plugged in before start of install.
