Hi, I had Roxio Easy Media Creator Basic VCD 7 for quite awhile. I worked fine so I didn't bother with a newer version.

I had a problem a couple of days ago in my computer with the IDE cables. It was fixed but now Roxio does not recognize either of my 2 CD/CDV drives.

How can I fix this problem (configuration, I think)? I forget.

(Sorry, I just realized that there is a forum for the Easy Media Creator)

Does Windows recognize them?

Yes, Windows recognize them, so does the DVD software.

Did you try the PX engine in Post #3 of this thread?

Hello
I am having a similar problem as well.
I have been using Roxio EC 7.5 since it came out with good sucess, all the sudden I can't use the E: drive.
Windows will see data on both my drives, D: and E: but, Roxio 7.5 will only recognize the D: drive. I have tried Sony and Maxell DVD-R's in the E: drive.
I have followed all the steps listed above including the latest PX Engine.
The E: drive is a brand new LiteOn DVD drive (not SATA)
The D: drive is pinned as Master
The E: drive is pinned Slave
DNA is enabled
Device Mgr says all is well.. Mgfr firmware installed is the latest available.
Roxio refuses to see the E: drive.
What else should I try?

Thanks smile.gif

What does Device Manager say about it - and can the built-in XP software recognise it?

I take it 'DNA' was a typo for 'DMA' - I can't see how a double helix in the ribbon would work wink.gif
