Can I import HDV footage from a tape into Roxio 2009 with Blu-Ray plug-in installed and then output it to a regular DVD? Or does the footage have to come from a AVCHD (hard drive) base camcorder?

Yes, you can.  I have teh Canon HV20 and it works fine.  It will take awhile to convert the MPEG 2 files to AVCHD though depending on how long the project is and your CPU.

Thanks, Digital Guru. I thought you could do it, but how does one do it? I have SP3 downloaded. I want to burn the HD footage to a reg. DVD. I can not find how to do it on Roxio's web site.

Also be aware that these discs can NOT be played on a regular DVD player!  They are burned in the Bluray format so you need a Bluray player.  You can also play them on the computer if you have Vista using Cineplayer 5 which is included with Creator 2009.

WinXP does not support the Bluray format and needs special file system drivers.

I do have Vista and CinePlayer 5.0 ver. with my 2009. When playing back a HD video in Cine on a reg. DVD I only hear the audio no video. What I am doing wrong?
