I am VERY new at this and I have converted my VHS tapes to DVD's......standard burned dvd'. I would like to edit them in imovie but need them converted to Quicktime files - correct? How do you do this in Popcorn 3. I see a "reference" to Quicktime in the "guide" - such as it is - but I'm not getting it!! Any help would be appreciated........I have about 60 DVD's to convert - also, does anyone know how long it takes to convert a DVD like this? They are all 1 hour and 2 hours each.

You have taken on a big project. How important is it to you to use iMovie? If all you want to do is cut out segments and organize what remains into different titles on a DVD then you'll save yourself a huge amount of time by not using iMovie and not converting the video to a QuickTime format.
Which version of iMovie are you wanting to use?
I'm presuming you already have Popcorn 3. Is that correct? What Mac and what OS version are you using?
I can help you up to the point where the video is imported to iMovie but want more info before I start.

I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
