I created a 30 minute slide presentation in Videowave 8 without any problems. When I went to add audio (mp3) file it locked up. I have been trying for 2 days without being able to add a single audio file without it locking up. I have tried to add it thru storlyline and timeline. I updated all drivers (video, audio, DirectX, etc) and removed (using roxizap)/reinstalled Videowave without any luck. I've messed with virtual memory, disabling internet connection and disabling Media Manager. I've got a decent computer (P4 3.6 Ghz, 1G Ram, 250G harddrive, Radeon X800XT video card, SB Audigy 2 sound card). Any help would be appreciated.

What is the source of the MP3 files you are trying to use? I would suggest trying to convert the MP3 to a WAV or other supported format, and add it that way.

William,
Good idea to try different file type. I was able to get it to work with .wma audio file. Still baffled with why .mp3 from CD won't work? Thanks for the workaround - Frank

How did you create the mp3 files from CD? using EMC 8?
