I installed Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 Suite some time ago. It's been working ok, except I was having trouble with the Copy Disc Utility. Then I discovered I still had some of the Roxio programs that came pre-installed on my Dell computer - these were LE-type applications. So I uninstalled them, using the Add/Remove programs. Then I ran WinCleaner to clean up any orphan registry items.

Now, when I perform certain functions on the computer, such as opening "My Documents", a box pops up saying "Please wait while Windows configures Sonic CinePlayer Decoder", then a 2nd box pops up saying, The feature you are trying to use is on a CD or other removable media that is not available, please insert Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 disk and click OK". I tried doing what it said, but then it says there's an error reading from the drive.

This is driving me NUTS! I can't open My Documents without having this thing pop up multiple times, and it keeps popping up even after I try to close it.

Well Ollie now you've gone and done it now… Attached Image: monthly_02_2009/post-39730-1235827936.jpg

You will probably need to do the Clean Install at this point, Here.

Just do everything it says and don't get frisky,

Define "frisky".

BTW, I have IE7. Is that going to be a problem?
