Hi All

I have several WMV files that play fine but if I try and turn them into a video file while encoding the WMV the system hangs. I have tried Nerovision which gets to a point and just stops and Roxio starts to analyze the file and freezes at same point. All the files play perfect. Is there any program that can analyze as I can't see any differences to the files that work.

Thanks
Paul

You could try converting them to .avi in WMM, but it is quite possible that the file is corrupt, even though it plays on your computer.

The two different software applications choke on the file.  That is not conclusive, but I would bet on it being bad.
