Any help would be appreciated.
MyDVD files are .dmsd files. VideoWave files are .dmsm. Did you do the production in VideoWave, or MyDVD?
If it is a VideoWave file, open MyDVD, bring in the .dmsm file, by clicking on Add Movie, and browse to your VideoWave file highlight it, and click on Add.
In the lower part of the screen, set the Video Quality to High Quality (HQ). Make any changes you want to the menu, click on Burn, and burn your project to a DVD, and Image file, or a Folder Set.
I generally burn to a Folder Set, then open Video Copy and Convert, and burn it to a DVD.

I am having a similar problem as you are only my DVD played about 10 seconds of the movie I was trying to burn and just kept repeating that 10 seconds. I was wondering if you had aany luck with it yet. I was told in another post of my own that the .dmsm files had to be changed before burning movie but i can't figure out how to change it.

After reading your post in this thread and the prior post of yours to which I think you are referring here, it is unclear whether you followed Walt's advice in the prior thread or GPB's advice in this one. The question I have is, sticking to the advice of GPB here, have you tried to:
"open MyDVD, bring in the .dmsm file, by clicking on Add Movie, and browse to your VideoWave file highlight it, and click on Add?"
Are you saying that you did what GPB (and Walt in the other post) suggested, you burned a dvd, and when you play the first chapter in your project, your clip only plays for 10 seconds?
Or is it the menu in MyDVD that is only playing for 10 seconds?
Also, where in any of your posts did someone state that your .dmsm files had to be changed before burning a movie?

Bare with me as I am not only a newbe to this forum but to roxio and having a real time understanding. Statement I am referring to I am pasting here "Your dmsm file is not a video but only the instruction on how to create the video. To create the DVD, launch myDVD and using the Add option, add the dmsm file, authour your menu and then burn".
I don't know what it is thats playing when I burn it. I open the moving in myDVD, it shows the very first clip in my edited movie, it plays for about 10 seconds with a song that I didn't put in the movie, then it stops and loops again several times of the same 10 seconds. Maybe I am misunderstanding what I was told about the dmsm file. If you can help me find out what I am doing wrong hopefully it will help me and the author of this post.
Thanks, Jack

I did and I understood you were wanting to know how to burn it to a disc. I felt I was having the same type of problem as I wasn't able to burn it properly. I didn't mean to jump in on your post but just to see if the reply had helped you. I am sorry if I offended you in any way.

I think GPB more than likely knows how to burn a disc.
Unfortunately, I think there is a language or other barrier preventing you from doing what you need to do. You need to follow the steps of GPB here, or Walt in the other post. And as Walt suggested in the earlier post, you should / need to read Jim's pinned post walking you through how to do video work which, unfortunately, is not quick, easy or intuitive.

You need to read it again, and try to comprehend what you were reading. I do not have a problem. I posted a solution on how to take that .dmsm file, into MyDVD, and burn it to a DVD.

I just got confused, I had originally (I think) was askinging "BusyMommy3" if the responding reply to her post had helped her and then got lost on who I was replying to.
I tried understanding what you said in your reply to my post and also looked at the post you referred me to but I still am having a problem. I am going to get out of BusyMommy3's post so I won't get anymore confused. My last reply in my original post I tried to explain more of where my problem lay. If you can give me any more help there I would truly appriciate it.
Sorry for the confusion I caused.
