Toast Video Player Toast Video Player Refuses to Open Tivo files

Toast 8.05 in concert with Tivo HD has been transferring programs to my Imac and playing them flawlessly for months. Now every time I attempt to open a Tivo file the player opens briefly and closes immediately followed by an error an Apple message. Roxio refuses technical support on the issue as they have declared Toast 8 "legacy". Can anyone help?
