Hope I'm in the right place now!

I have a new computer: Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bits. I installed the Roxio Creator 09 and would not open. I follow the instructions from the blog and uninstalled the software. I made sure all the services and and applications were stopped.

I installed again. The Roxio Creator opens with a window that needs configuration from the Roxio Central. It stays there for a long time, until I cancel the window. The programs opens, however if I start to work on it, the computer crashes and shutdowns. It will stay black with shutdown in it as if frozen. I then have to turn off and start the computer again.

Shouls I give up on trying to installed Roxio in my computer?

OK! I got the Roxio creator 2009. Since it was not opening, I followed the instructions that were recommended in clean instructions for creator 2009 on Windows Vista.

Once I re installed the Roxio creator 2009 ultimate and the computer self started; I went back to the step for MSCONFIG and reversed the step as instructed.

At this time the computer restarted again and was extremely slow. Once I openned the Roxio creator a window showed up that it needed to configurate the Roxio Central. The computer will stay with this window and after few minutes blinks and waits again. After the longest 10 minutes (about) I cancel the window and the programs opens.

Once I click to retrive a picture or video the machine shutsdown and will freeze in the black screen with the shutdown word. To unfreeze, I pressed the start buttom hard for few minutes and it turns off.

Then, I uninstalled again the program. and installed. Now, the computer is working in all the programs, except when I click the roxio, I have the same result - it freezes and shutsdown.

This is all I have done, over and over. OH, I have use the 2009 content disk error - it says I have no problems.

I have the Win Vista updated.

and I updated the creator 09 with pack 3. - It does not allows me to update the sound soap - not sure why.

This is all I have been doing over and over. I have read many infor of the blog and still can not make it work. I hope you can understand my message. I do thank you!!! Ivette
