just tried it again....what the problem seems to be as the next track is being beat matched the sound quality distorts really bad.
here is how it's playing.
track 1 plays from begging with NO distortion track 2 is then beat matched as track 2 is mixed in i get the
distortion.....it doesn't last...the distortion goes once the beat match is complete.
any ideas on how i can stop this from happening.
this part of the program is very important as i attend many car events with sound off competitions and can't play a cd that sounds so bad.

I can only give an educated guess at what's happening, since I've never played with beat matching, but it sounds like the two tracks are being mixed without any fading during the overlap, and the beat match is good enough that the added sounds are clipping.    So, how long is the beat matching going on for?  If you're overlapping for say, 6 seconds, I'd say you need to make the tracks cross-fade.  I don't have it in front of me to try, but is a cross-fade something you can apply during the beat matching?  If not, you may need to "pre-edit" the tracks by applying a fade-out at the end of the first track, and a fad-in on the next track before beat matching them.  You may not need to fade in/out from/to zero to keep them from distorting.

Hopefully that helps?

ahh there is a cross fade feature....the clipping is around 6 seconds so good guess  smile.gif  so fading in and out the tracks should stop the distortion....i'll give it a go and keep you updated.
thanks

i tried to overlap lower than six seconds and fade in and fade out but there is distortion as the next track comes into beat matching sequence....has anyone used  beat matching as this is a good part of roxio...what i did notice that while listening to the tracks before burning there is no distortion which i find odd.
