I am only able to capture with preinstalled normal prests in capture mode. Each time I try to raise the level I get an error stating that unable to build capture graph. I am using a turtle beach capture card with compsite input. Why?

I am actually surprised that you can capture through that card, at all.  I can't capture through my Hauppauge card, and I was not aware that EMC 8 would capture properly except by using a firewire connection.

Thanks for the link.  I have seen the supported list before.  I would bet against EMC 8 working reliably with most of that list, though.

at least we know for sure it won't work with anything that's not on the list  :)

*update* I guess I talked too fast and bit my tongue... that's why I'm still a Rookie right? I should have said that the device that are not listed haven't been tested thoroughly...

I'll have to stop using my Pinnacle AV/DV card that I've been using from V7 to V8.   :D  All those captures that I've done must be an illusion.  :)
