Using My DVD in Creator 2009, I created a project with 20 movies and linked the buttons so the entire project should play continuously, one movie after another. The DVD plays correctly in Windows Media Player but on a standalone DVD player, it flips back to menus prematurely.
Here is more detail.
The project has a root menu and 4 sub-menus. Each menu has four buttons, one for each movie. I linked the button for each movie to the next movie, so the entire project would play from beginning to end. I also created a Play All button and set it up to play 'All movies in project'.
The project plays fine in My DVD Preview (before burning) and the DVD plays correctly on Windows Media Player, that is, the entire project plays continuously from beginning to end. Unfortunately, on a standalone DVD player, the moves will not play continuously from begining to end. The movies for one menu will play continuously, but after the last movie for that menu, it will not advance to the first movie on the next menu. Instead, the menu appears. I have verified that the links are set up correctly, so the movies should play one after the other, even across menus.
The Play All button does the same thing. It starts with the first movie on the first menu, plays until the last movie on that menu, and then displays the menu.
I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks very much.

That's the way it is.
You can create a "play all button" (search for it) that will give you the ability to play all videos one after another or to select individual movies.
Start here.. This is for EMC 9 but I tik it is the same for Creator 2009.

Thank you for your help. I was already using a 'Play All' button, but I found out what I was doing wrong and corrected it.
I had several menus with movies on them and I put the 'Play All' button on the first menu along with the first four movies. Used in that way, the 'Play All' button only played the movies on that menu, even though I had set it up to 'Play all movies in project'.
The solution was to set up the first menu with only two buttons, a 'Play All' button and a 'Select Movie' button. All buttons for individual movies are now on sub menus. It works now, both on Windows Media Player and on a standalone DVD player.
Thanks again for your help.
