I've added a short background audio clip in a VideoWave production.   I selected the "add on sound effects track"  after selecting the "Add Background Audio" in the Add Content menu.

I can not find the track (Sfx) that now has the sound clip.   It plays but needs to be moved, modified or removed.   It isn't on the Nar/Native/Music tracks but continues to play.    The View/View Timeline/Tracks doesn't offer a checkbox to view the SFX track.

How do I access this sound?

Is the Sfx track not avaiable in VideoWave in the Creator Premier v9 version?

Update:  I've deleted the sound file "traffic.wav" resulting in an error message.   This can be skipped unless you want to output the production.   Another workaround, I created a silent "traffic.wav"    How could I be allowed to add audio into a Sfx track and then prevented from seeing, altering, or remove the audio segment?

Does Creator 2009 have a Sfx track (or multiple sound tracks)?

Update on phantom Sfx track in VideoWave.

I deleted the source sound file "traffic.wav" and VideoWave complains about the missing file.   I created a silent "traffic.wav" and now can run the production without the invisible Sfx track making a sound.

So,  what is the correct solution?    Upgrade to the newest VideoWave?    Does it have a Sound Effects Track?

I want to create a DVD from still and motion files,  use portions of the native sound, add background music, add narration, and add scattered sound effects.     Do I need to look outside of Roxio's products?

Could/is the traffic sfx be on an internal track of one of the images/videos?  That would be the first place I'd look.  Also delete the proxy files by going to the top menu, select tools then options and then clear proxy files.  Tracking down the sfx on a sound effects track might take some time.  You would have to select each item you have in Video Wave and then select internal tracks and select sfx to see if there is anything there.

Sorry I don't have EMC 9 on my computer; just Creator 2009.  If you are not going to do HD or blu-ray you would not gain much by upgrading to Creator 2009.  Yes, it does have multiple sound and sound effect tracks.  I don't remember what EMC 9 premier has but I think that was missing some functions.  Don't do any upgrading without making sure that your computer more than meets the minimum requirements.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
